LEAD Clubs

LEAD Clubs are offered at all CVESD schools. They offer a variety of educational and enrichment offerings that vary by school site. Examples of LEAD Clubs may include academic support, robotics, music, sports, and more. Students participating in the LEAD Clubs learn new skills and interact with peers in a physically and emotionally safe environment. Operating days and hours will vary by school site.


Los clubes LEAD se ofrecen en todas las escuelas de CVESD. Ofrecen una variedad de ofertas educativas y de enriquecimiento que varían según el plantel escolar. Ejemplos de un Club pueden incluir apoyo académico, robótica, música, deportes y más. Radiant Cheer Crew Q3

Radiant Cheer Crew is an energetic and enthusiastic club dedicated to the art of cheerleading. Designed for students of all skill levels, the club focuses on building strong foundations in cheer techniques and dance routines. Members will participate in team-building exercises, choreography sessions, and performance opportunities that showcase their spirit and talent. The Radiant Cheer Crew aims to foster teamwork, boost confidence, and promote physical fitness while celebrating school spirit and camaraderie. Join us to shine brightly and cheer proudly! 1st-6th graders

Ballet Folklorico Q3

Join Ms. Ramirez for her Ballet Folklorico club for kinder through sixth grade. We are excited to have this club where she will be teaching general Folklorico movement as well as culture through dance. K-6th grade

Advanced Choir Q3

Advanced Choir is a dynamic program designed for our upper grade students looking to refine their vocal skills and perform at a higher level. Members of this choir will engage in vocal training, advanced music theory, and intricate choral repertoire spanning various genres and time periods. The program emphasizes precision, artistry, and expression, providing an ensemble performance. Singers will collaborate closely, developing a strong sense of musicality and teamwork. The Advanced Choir aims to elevate each member's technical proficiency and stage presence, preparing them for competitive performances and advanced musical pursuits.

PM Running Club Q3

Join the upper grade running club with Ms. Stephens! Students will check in in the lunch harbor and have a snack or grab a snack to enjoy after running club, then Ms. Stephens will come collect them and start running (subject to change due to weather)

Lego Club Q3

Legos club will need loose Legos so they can do free builds.  I want to make it like a Steam project where they are creative, like create a house, mode of transportation, creature, etc.  Maybe they can end their time with a set.

This club helps our friends create steam related projects using Legos. Ms. Metz is excited to spend some tie with the kids to work on projects using Legos and with printed out instructions we will be using rule following to follow the order and instructions needed to create something fun.

Variety Show Club Q3

Variety Show club is a welcoming and inclusive program designed for students who are eager to explore the world of performance. Members will learn the fundamentals performance etiquette and how to prep to give a performance. Through a variety of fun and engaging activities, students will develop their singing, dancing, and musical abilities, gain confidence, and experience the joy of music with others. The Variety show auditions will be help on the first week back from break (week of 1/13) and once the performances are picked and student show their determination we will add the students that are on the instructors list to the club.

Reading Intervention Club Q3

The Reading Intervention Club is an extracurricular program designed for our TK and Kinder students to explore and better develop their reading skills. The club provides a fun and nurturing environment where children can learn how to read better and comprehend sight words and an easier way to focus on reading outside of the classroom. The club encourages students to enjoy reading and helps students build confidence in their reading abilities.

Formerly known as the Tech Ready club, the Homework Helpers Club is an after-school program designed to support students in their academic endeavors. The club provides a structured environment where students can receive access to technology resource and participate activities that enhance their understanding of key concepts presented in their homework assignments. By fostering a collaborative and supportive community, the Homework Helpers Club aims to improve students' academic performance and inspire a passion for learning and innovation.

Crochet Club Q3

Crochet club is being offered by Ms. Asya and taught so that students can expand their knowledge and use of creativity. Students will be following Ms.Asya's step by step instructions on how to create little animals or work on bigger projects that take a few weeks to complete. This is the only club being offered on Fridays after minimum day schedule and students are to attend on Friday as well. We are excited to create with you.

LEAD Hub

CVESD's LEAD Hub program, in partnership with the San Diego County YMCA, provides free before and after school programs at all district schools. Previously known as STRETCH and DASH, LEAD Hub aims to create a safe, supportive environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. The program combines recreation, tutoring, and enrichment activities. LEAD Hub is free for CVESD students in transitional kindergarten through sixth grade. LEAD Hub will be on the 180-day calendar. The hours will vary by school site and depend on the school’s start and end times.

*Before school programs are not offered at every school site.


El programa LEAD Hub de CVESD, en asociación con la YMCA del condado de San Diego, ofrece programas gratuitos antes y después de clases en todas las escuelas del distrito. LEAD Hub, anteriormente conocido como STRETCH y DASH, tiene como objetivo crear un entorno seguro y de apoyo donde los niños puedan aprender, crecer y prosperar. El programa combina recreación, tutoría y actividades de enriquecimiento. LEAD Hub es gratuito para los estudiantes de CVESD desde Kínder de transición hasta sexto grado. LEAD Hub estará en el calendario de 180 días. El horario variará según el plantel escolar y dependerá de los horarios de entrada y salida del plantel escolar.

All students will be added to the waitlist at the time of registration submission. Once applications have been reviewed, you will be notified by email if your student will remain on the waitlist or has been accepted into the program.
